More and more people are believing conspiracy theories these days and this latest theory is pretty “cool”.
People on social media are trying to burn snow to prove that it’s fake after a video of someone who couldn’t melt a snowball using a hairdryer in 10 seconds, went viral.
Many of them are collecting snow and setting it on fire, only to see that it doesn’t turn into water and left it black burn marks instead, making them believe it’s “created by the government.”
Although it has been previously debunked many times before, conspiracy theorists still refuse to believe the science behind it.
Truth is, the snow doesn’t change from solid to liquid when it’s being burnt due to a process called sublimation where snow turns from solid to gas - turning snow straight to vapor.
Another explanation is that the snow does melt but it doesn’t appear to drip because the water is absorbed by the remaining snow that is porous.
The black “burnt marks” is not evidence of the snow burning, but it’s in fact black soot adhering to the snowball and are ordinary particulates that are generated from burning any fuel source.
Many people on the internet are baffled by how conspiracy theorists insist to prove that the snow is artificial even when it has already been explained multiple times.
What are your thoughts on the matter? Let us know!
