You know how we try to capture certain moments sometimes but it’s not candid because the camera is right in your face? Well this sister decided to not ruin her sister’s proposal vibe but still managed to capture the whole thing!
The girl named Therese Merkel found out that her sister’s boyfriend was planning to propose to her sister, Rachel, and decided to help out.
So they got to planning. Therese said, “"We came up with a ton of hilarious ideas that were totally ridiculous.”
"We were like, how funny would it be if I was a bush or something?"
And they decided to make it happen! The sister’s boyfriend, Andrew bought a ghillie suit – a camouflage outfit for hunters to blend in; so that Therese could be at the proposal!
Andrew then decorated a scenic spot filled with Rachel’s favourite flowers, lanterns and decor… with Therese hiding in the ghillie suit in the bushes, completely out of sight.
"She was so well hidden with the ghillie suit in the bushes that I couldn’t find her so I was nervous that she wasn’t even there," Andrew said.
Therese then jumped out yelling, "SHE SAID YES, SHE SAID YES!" after Andrew popped the question.
"She was so confused, she was like, 'What are you, a weird bush? It totally made the moment."
Therese managed to take photo of the proposal and shared pictures of herself in the ghillie suit to twitter and went viral!
Netizens were impressed with her commitment and asked their own family and friends to do the same.
Congratulations on Andrew and Rachel’s engagement! We definitely need a friend or sibling like Therese!
