#1 Face massage is always a good idea

Face massages aren’t just super relaxing, they help improve blood circulation and tone your skin, reducing fine lines over time!

#2 Wear sunscreen, even when you’re indoors!

We’re constantly reminded to apply sunscreen whenever we step out in the sun, but did you know that those pesky UV rays can get through windows to you when you’re indoors too?!

Moreover, with the increase in screen time on mobile phones and computers, you’re still exposed to harmful blue lights that can cause skin damage!

#3 Don’t use the same pillowcase for too long

Every night, you could be going to sleep unknowingly on a germ-filled hot spot! Dirt and oil are often found on pillowcases, and bacteria—we definitely don’t want this on our face—can breed on our pillowcases too!

Be sure to change your pillowcase at least once a week—preferably twice a week, if you can—to prevent acne and dirt build-ups!

#4 Stop touching your face!

Your hands are often in contact with many surfaces such as handrails on MRTs and toilet door handles… which means, they are probably covered in germs. So whenever you touch your face with unwashed hands, you’re transferring the germs onto it (euw!) and potentially triggering breakouts.

Of course, this doesn’t mean you can’t scratch an itch on your face or wipe your upper lip sweat. Just make sure your hands are clean before you do it!

#5 Wash your face after working out

Workout is good for you. But make sure that you wash your face as soon as you’re done exercising so that the sweat and bacteria don’t stay on your face for too long and clog the pores.

#6 Sugar is yums, but not too much lah

It’s difficult to resist that cupcake and boba milk tea, but the painful truth is, sugar can make you age faster! So the next time you’re craving for two desserts, maybe just choose one—and don’t have them too often.

#7 Build your skincare routine

Just like how you should toast your bread before applying peanut butter on it, there’s an order that you should follow when doing skincare.

After removing your makeup, start with the most lightweight products first—like your toner and essence, then your thickest formula—such as moisturiser and sunscreen, to end your routine. This is to promote better absorption of all that good stuff you’re applying on your face!
