The pandemic has made many of us search and try new things on the internet and this man shared the tear jerking moment he found his late father on the internet.

A Japanese man recently shared how he decided to search for his parents’ old house on Google Earth and stumbled upon images of his father who passed away seven years ago.

His late father can be seen waiting by the entrance of their house and as he zooms pass him, he noticed that his father was actually waiting for his mother who was walking home.

“I decided to search for my parents’ house on Google Earth because I had nothing to do due to the pandemic,” he wrote.

“I saw my father who had passed away 7 years ago. I then zoomed passed him and saw my mum on her way home. My father must have been waiting for my mother to return home.”

“My father was a quiet but kind man. I hope that Google Earth doesn’t update the photo for this place.”

His heart warming tweet went viral on Twitter, with others sharing how they stumbled upon their loved ones on Google Earth too after seeing the tweet.

“I found a picture of my grandfather, who died four years ago, going home with my grandmother,” one user wrote. “I immediately sent a photo to my mother's family. The whole family is happy.”

Another user found a photo of the family dog that passed away from old age two years ago on Google Earth too and wrote, “I was happy when I saw him. I also hope this photo doesn’t change.”

It’s certainly heartwarming to be able to see your loved ones who habe passed away once more in this unexpected way.
