Drivers, we know you’ve been staying home but we’ve got a bit of good news for you.
If you have any outstanding traffic summonses, mark down 18th – 21st May because the PDRM is offering a 50% discount for those who pay their penalties online during this time!

As many are facing some financially challenging times during this ongoing pandemic, the Polis Diraja Malaysia is hoping that the discount being offered will come as a relief.
Motorists with outstanding traffic summonses will be able to enjoy the 50% discount when they pay their summonses online via www.myeg.com.my and www.rilek.com.my.

“We understand some may be facing difficulties during the movement control order (MCO) while others may be preparing to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri,” said Bukit Aman Traffic Investigations and Enforcement Department director Deputy Comm Datuk Azisman Alias.
DCP Azisman also said “traffic service counters at district police headquarters nationwide would start reopening in stages beginning May 18 to facilitate summons payments as well as insurance documentation for road accidents,” The Star reports.
Counters are expected to be open from 9am to 2pm, every Monday and Wednesday in Perlis, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Pahang, Sabah, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.
And on Fridays, the counters will be open from 9am to 12pm.
In Kedah, Johor, Kelantan and Terengganu, counters will be open every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday from 9am to 2pm.

Motorists who opt to pay their summonses at the counters are advised to be mindful of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and to practice social distancing.
So drivers, be sure to take advantage of the 50% discount while you can and pay off your traffic summonses!
And if you can, please pay your summonses online and avoid going to the counters.
