We don’t always get what we want especially when we’re young and want something that our parents can’t afford, but one student decided to work for what he desperately wanted!
A 15-year-old student from Thailand took matters into his own hands when his father refused to buy him the sneakers that he wanted because it was expensive.
The boy named Kittitat Wankumpa or Nong Ryu decided to set up stall and worked hard selling meatballs to buy his dream sneakers worth RMM1322!
He readjusted his schedule and woke up early at 6am instead of 7am to prepare the ingredients needed for his stall before going to school. He would then sell the meatballs right after school all the way till 8pm at night!
Nong Ryu was able to sell more than 250 sticks of meatballs on average in a day to save up for his sneakers and also help reduce his family’s burden.
"In the past, I was not good at studying so I never dreamed of becoming or doing any career in the future,” he said and added that this experience has taught him the value of money while giving him a new perspective and goal for life!
Many netizens are impressed with his dedication and praised him for efforts and hard work to buy his sneakers and help his family!
A boy in Malaysia also previously started selling mango juice to save up enough money to buy a PlayStation 4 for himself!
