Vintage items are getting more and more valuable these days, with an unopened box of Pokémon Trading Cards selling for RM142,730 recently! It looks like now game cartridges are getting a lot of attention too!
A Super Mario Bros. game cartridge from 1985 was recently sold for RM408,662 ($100,150) to a group of collectors!
The Nintendo NES cartridge in question is an unopened ticker-sealed reprint and has a seal rating of A++, which increases the value of the game.
"In terms of rarity, popularity, and relevance to collectors, this game has it all," said Wata Games President Deniz Kahn. "Mario is the most recognized fictional or nonfictional character in the world, more so than even Mickey Mouse."
Seems like these older games are getting more and more recognition and value! Do you have any gaming console or cartridges from the 80’s or 90’s? Make sure you keep them in good condition!
