If you’re one of the many that rolls your eraser dust residue into a ball together in school, then this teen’s eraser dust will definitely blow your mind!
A Japanese teenager spent 11 years rolling his eraser dust and it now weighs more than 1kg!
The 18-year-old Japanese teen who has a habit of rolling his eraser dust was featured in a Japanese reality show, holding the gigantic eraser dust ball that he believes makes his results better the bigger it gets.
Koei Okumura said that the ball was only rolled using the eraser dust residue that came out when he’s studying and has been doing well in his studies since he started rolling his eraser dust, with his results ranking first and second in his district!
He previously appeared on the Japanese reality show five years ago showing off his eraser dust ball that he collected for five years and it was the size of a baseball then, but it definitely grew a whole lot bigger six years later.
Another girl that appeared on the reality show with Koei also continued her eraser dust rolling habit, with her eraser dust that she collected for 3 years previously weighing at 20g and now weighing at 80g after rolling for 8 years in total!
Ms Tokoro also ranked first in all her examinations when she previously appeared on the show, and she’s now a college student studying law and hopes to become a lawyer in the future.
She squeezes her eraser dust ball into a ball over the years while Koei’s ball needed more effort to keep together, and he has to apply some salad oil and covered it with a plastic wrap to keep it from drying up and cracking.
Both of them expressed their wish of passing the habit to the next generation, with Ms Tokoro saying she wants her future child to inherit her eraser dust ball and Koei hoping his children will also develop the same habit and inherit his eraser dust ball.
Perhaps trying to get the ball bigger motivated them to study more and in turn gave them good grades, or maybe the size of the ball is the result of how much time they spent studying?
We’re not sure but it’s time to get some extra erasers and roll up the residue while studying, who knows your results might just get better!
Do you use to roll up your eraser dust residue into a ball too? Share this with someone that needs help with their studies!
