A viral video has captured the internet’s attention, showcasing a creative and amusing way to blow off steam: smashing clay sculptures.
The video, originally posted by TikTok user @mex_story and later reshared on Instagram by @eagleeyeguy, shows individuals furiously punching and slapping clay figures. With millions of views, it left many viewers intrigued by what appeared to be a unique stress-relief service where people could vent their frustrations on clay models resembling ex-partners or former bosses.
However, the truth behind the video is far less dramatic. It was actually part of a lighthearted class project by art students from Khon Kaen University in Thailand. According to the original poster, the clay sculptures were assignments for a class. Once graded by the professor, the sculptures needed to be recycled for future use. Instead of simply breaking them down, the students decided to have a bit of fun by smashing the figures in a playful and creative twist.
“After the professor inspected the sculptures, we had to dismantle them for reuse. But tearing them apart felt dull, so we chose to punch them instead,” explained the original poster in a comment.
What started as a fun classroom activity quickly turned into a viral sensation, sparking laughter and conversation across social media platforms.
