The fictional town of Stoneybrook, Connecticut is about to come to life in a real live-action series! The Baby-Sitters Club books that became famous in the 90s are being revived for a 10 episode series.

For those of you unfamiliar with The Baby-Sitters Club, the series centers around five friends – Kristy Thomas, Mary Anne Spier, Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill and Dawn Schafer – who run a local babysitting service called the “Baby-Sitters Club.”
The episodes of the upcoming series will focus on the entrepreneurial girls’ ventures and friendships, maneuvering the launch and success of their business while staving off competition and overcoming various growing pains along the way.

The book series was first published in 1986 by author, Ann M. Martin, but only took off as a tween classic in the 90s.
When asked about the upcoming TV series, Ann said:
“I’m amazed that there are so many passionate fans of The Baby-Sitters Club after all these years, and I’m honoured to continue to hear from reader – now grown, who have become writers, editors, teachers, librarians, filmmakers – who say that they see a reflection of themselves in the characters of Kristy and her friends. So I’m very excited about the forthcoming series, which I hope will inspire a new generation of readers and leaders everywhere.”
