It’s easy to say that 2020 has been a challenging year for most of us, and unfortunately, we’ve got news that will make this year a little more sadder.
Nobiko aka the cat from the longcat meme, has passed away.

Reports have confirmed that the kitty most known for playing a vital role in the iconic longcat meme, has passed away at the age of 18.
According to its owner, the beloved cat, who’s known as Nobiko, was found lying around their home weakly and was taken to the vet immediately. The vet told Nobiko’s owners that the cat was unfortunately too ill to undergo any x-rays.
After being taken to the hospital, Nobiko then passed away at about 2pm local time.

For those who may be unfamiliar with Nobiko, the kitty made a name for itself by appearing in the adorable meme in the early 2000s between 2005-2006. She has since made a name for herself by becoming one of the internet’s most recognizable kitties.
Fans of the iconic cat have taken to social media to mourn the loss of Nobiko.
Rest in peace Nobiko. Thank you for all the memes.
You will be missed.
