HNEntertainment has been able to confirm that the prequel’s – tentatively called Bloodmoon; is expected to begin shooting sometime around mid-July after shooting in Belfast ends on 10th July.

Italian publication, IlMessaggero, also reported that production of Bloodmoon will spend some of its time filming on the Italian coast at Gaeta’s Grotta del Turco.

Not much else is known about the upcoming prequel except that the series will take place thousands of years before the battle of the Iron Throne was even thought of.

Bloodmoon is set to star Naomi Watts, Josh Whitehouse, Miranda Richardson, Jamie Campbell Bower, Toby Regbo, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp, Naomi Ackie, Marquis Rodriguez, John Simms, Richard McCabe, John Heffernan, and Dixie Egerickx.
