You may have experienced getting trapped in your house because your automatic gate won’t open but no one has thought of pulling off the whole gate… except The Rock!
Dwayne Johnson recently took to social media and shared how his front gate to his house wouldn’t open because of a power outage from severe storms and “hundreds of production crew members were on site” waiting for him, so he did the most The Rock thing – pulling his front gates off!
“I tried to override the hydraulic system to open the gates, which usually works when power goes out - but this time it wouldn’t,” he wrote in the post.
“So I did what I had to do. I pushed, pulled and ripped the gate completely off myself. Tore it out of the brick wall, severed the steel hydraulics and threw it on the grass.”
He also shared a video of the aftermath and the gate technician and welders carrying the gate.
“My security team was able to meet the gate technician and welders about an hour later — and they were apparently, “in disbelief and equally scared” Not my finest hour, but I had to go to work.”
Many fans were also in disbelief, but many thought it was a very “The Rock” thing to do… and of course, Ryan Reynolds too stepped in to troll Dwayne about the incident by wittily replying “The gate opened the OTHER way” in the comments!
The internet loved Ryan Reynolds’ comment with one user saying, “you have had good one liners in your life but this one… this one takes the cake. You win at life good sir.”
Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot are currently filming the upcoming movie, Red Notice after production resumed earlier this month.
The Rock jokingly ended his post saying “I think I’m ready to be #blackadam” and one thing's for sure, you wouldn't want to be his enemy… or gate.
