Now, we love playing video games just as much as the next person, but parents may not like it as much especially when it interferes with studying time.

These kids from Japan unfortunately had to learn the hard way about what happens when you neglect your studies for video games.

These parents took things to the next level when they decided to try a new approach to curb their kids from constantly playing his PS4 and not paying attention to his studies.

They decided to padlock the PS4 in a way that their kids would have to ask for permission and finish his studies before being allowed to play.

In case you didn’t know, most electrical appliances in Japan are sold with a type-A or type-B plug sockets. These plug sockets comes equipped with flat prongs that have a hole in each prong.

These parents’ ingenious idea was to insert a padlock into one of these holes in order to prevent their kids from plugging it into a socket.

We must admit, this is a brilliant idea but we’d definitely hate to be in these kids’ shoes!

Hopefully this method works out and the kids actually get to studying!
