There’s a famous bridal shop in Chuhuahua, Mexico named La Popular, and it’s not famous for its wedding dresses. Instead, it’s well known for the mystery surrounding the mannequin in the shop.
The mannequin on display in the store looks like a real human!
Nicknamed La Pascualita, the mannequin has been on display since 1930. Many realise that the mannequin looks like the daughter of the shop owner, Pascuala Esparza, at that time.
Esparza’s daughter died on her wedding day after she was bitten by a black widow.
Because of that, and how the mannequin looks so human like, the locals started suspecting that the mannequin is actually the preserved body of the daughter, even though the shop owner denies it.
One of the shop’s workers, Sonia Burciage, who has to change La Pascualita twice a week, said, “Every time I go near Pascualita ,my hands break out in a sweat. Her hands are very realistic and she even has varicose veins on her legs. I believe she’s a real person.”
The mannequin will sometimes change its position at night, and her eyes follow you around the store.
True story or not, this is definitely one really creepy doll.
