A new and innovative cup has been specifically designed with one thing in mind: holding bubble milk tea while eliminating the need for straws and single-use plastics.
Taiwanese industrial designers, Mickey Wu and Fang Shih, got together to create the cup, ingeniously named, Float.

When the cup is filled, it looks like the boba are floating, instead of how it the traditionally sinks to the bottom.
The cup comes equipped with two openings - one to have your drink with boba and one to have it without. And of course, you can put in more toppings than just the beloved tapioca pearls.

Float is designed so that ice cubes can be placed in the middle of the cup so that your drink’s temperature and concentration is more balanced.
“Let the ingredients flow to the mouth with the tea cooled by ice at the same time in every sip of drink,” the designers said.

Not only does the new invention eliminate the need for straws, the cup goes further in its bid to save the environment by using recycled glass from Spring Pool Glass to create it.
“We use recycled glass to create a bubble tea cup without straw, making the bubble tea container no longer difficult to wash, making environmental protection a daily lifestyle,” the designers noted.
