When you’re on a plane, there are very strict rules that have to be followed to ensure the safety of everyone on board.
But some times, some passengers just refuse to follow the rules and this woman from China is one of them.

A Xiamen Airlines passenger recently caused a flight to be delayed by an hour when she decided that she needed a “breath of fresh air” and opened the emergency exit door.
According to a video of the incident that went viral in China, the unnamed woman felt that the cabin was “too stuffy” towards the end of the boarding process and decided that she needed to create her own air source.
According to the Daily Express, flight MF 8215 was travelling from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport to the city of Lanzhou, but was delayed due to the woman’s reckless behaviour.
The Sun also reported that the passenger had been warned by the flight attendants to not touch the lever on the emergency exit near her seat but the woman disregarded the instructions and popped open the door.
She justified her actions by saying that the cabin “got stuffy” and because of that she was allowed to have “a breath of fresh air.”

Because of her irresponsible behaviour, airlines officials had to be called to safely close the door again and a second round of safety inspections had to be carried out, which caused the delay.
During this time, the police were called and the woman was arrested at the scene for the offence.
The South China Post reported that the woman will most likely be slapped with a fine for her actions. In case you didn’t know, opening the emergency exit on a plane when there is no emergency is classified as disturbing public order.
