If you've passed by the Titiwangsa Lake Gardens recently and wondered why it's closed, we've got the answer for you!
Beginning 1 September 2018, the Titiwangsa Lake Gardens will be closed to the public for one year to make way for Kuala Lumpur's River of Life project. The closure also makes way for other facility upgrading works to be carried out for the ease and comfort of visitors in the future, the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) said in a statement.

DBKL has already been closing parts of Titiwangsa Lake Gardens to the public since 14 May 2018. DBKL also said that a special route has been created for visitors who wish to exercise or go jogging. "The public visiting the gardens are advised to be cautious as well as be aware of their own safety while upgrading works carried out," the statement added.
Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the Titiwangsa Lake Gardens is the oldest lake garden in the city. The Titiwangsa Lake Gardens is expected to be re-opened in November 2019.
