One of the most iconic Superman actors on TV is definitely Tom Welling in the Man of Steel origin story series, Smallville. And almost 10 years after the series finale, he's back to play Superman!
Tom Welling is reported to be reprising his role as Clark Kent/Superman in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths!
The five-show crossover will tell the story of how the characters from Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman come together to defeat the multiverse-destroying threat of the villain Anti-Monitor!
It has been confirmed that Tom Welling will play the Man of Tomorrow, a Superman from an alternate universe. Joining the Superman lineup is Supergirl’s Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh to play Kingdom Come Superman, one from another reality.
The crossover event will be over five hours long and will feature other guest stars like Elizabeth Tulloch (Lois Lane), Jon Cryer (Lex Luthor), LaMonica Garrett (The Monitor/The Anti-Monitor), Johnathon Schaech (Jonah Hex) and John Wesley Shipp (The Flash).
Characters from another CW’s DC series, Black Lighting will also be in the series along with, Batman: The Animated Series’ Kevin Conroy as a future Bruce Wayne!
The five-part Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover will begin with Supergirl on December 8th, followed by Batwoman on December 9th and The Flash on December 10th before concluding on January 14th with a double bill of Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
