Toyota isn’t just a brand of car. Over the decades, they’ve become synonymous with motorsports, winning races and even finding themselves on The Fast and Furious.

Besides its sleek body and aerodynamic boost, the interior of the GR Supra screams sporty too. It features a leather-wrapped steering wheel, sporty aluminium pedals, and racing-inspired seats that come with lumbar support too.

Meanwhile, its cockpit is influenced by single-seater race cars and is designed to give you the best driving experience. It’s fitted with adjustable bolsters in the seats, knee pads for when you’re cornering hard, and an 8.8-inch multimedia system—perfect for when you want to cruise while listening to your  fav songs.

#2 GR Corolla

A car that announces its presence? YES MA’AM! The GR Corolla has a powerful engine that will certainly let others know you’re on the road.

Blending form and function, the GR Corolla features widened front fender flares, front grilles with side air duct that increases stability and leather ultrasuede seats. Its plush rear seats are extra comfy too, making this a great option for all those roadtrips with your group of 5.

#3 GR86

With 20% more engine displacement that its predecessor, every turn and curve on the road hits different with the new and improved GR86.

Its aerodynamic profile makes the GR86 a stable car with excellent steering response. There are plenty of sexy features to look at too: dual chrome-tipped exhaust, 18-inch matte black-painted alloy Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres, full leather seats, and a rear GR86 badge.

Besides that, it’s fitted with dual-zone automatic climate control air conditioning, so you’ll never feel hot… or too cold! Its spacious boot size also makes packing everything up that much easier.

#4 Hilux GR Sport

Did someone say a fierce car? Well, the Hilux GR Sport is your best bet to stand out for all the right reasons!

With extreme power and efficiency in its engine, the Hilux GR Sport is a bestie for your off-road adventures. It features a Paddle Shifter (the first in a Hilux), downhill assist control that brakes automatically when you’re going down slippery slopes, sports-tuned suspension and more. It also comes with an Eco or Power mode—the former to help you save petrol, and the latter to give your drive more oomph.

It doesn’t disappoint in the looks department either. Its wheels come with a new unique spoke design featuring a pop of red courtesy of the brake calliper while the rear includes a signature red and black decal that symbolises Gazoo Racing. Red accents are also seen on its sporty front seats and interior design.

#5 Corolla Cross GR Sport

With a 2-tone black colour on the roof and a sporty build, you can easily steal the spotlight with the Corolla Cross GR Sport.

Function-wise, it offers stability and agility with every drive. It also comes with a higher seating position so it’s easier to see what’s ahead of you and an 18˚ approach angle that helps you handle high speed bumps. Other features worth noting are its rear seats that reclines up to 6˚ so you can nap better, a kick-sensor power back door (to help you load your shopping), and 440l of boot space!

Malaysia has now become the first country after Japan to establish GR Garage outlets. These garages (10 in the country) offer not only the car models, but also a pretty comprehensive collection of parts, accessories, and merchandises. It’s basically a dedicated service centre for your precious wheels!

You can check the location of your nearest GR Garage on Toyota’s website.

You can also livestream the race on Toyota GAZOO Racing’s socmed pages!

Since 2017, this racing event has been a popular one for motorsports enthusiasts in the country, garnering a whopping 15 million spectators!
