Troye Sivan is manifesting his dream collaborations one DM at a time. During the E! Live from the Red Carpet pre show at the 2025 Grammy Awards, the "Angel Baby" singer shared how he’s been reaching out to artists he admires.
"One thing that I started doing this year is I started sending like fan mail to people. Like yeah, I 100 percent slid into Doechii's DMs," Sivan, 29, said of the newly Grammy winner.
When asked by E! correspondent Zuri Hall if anything had come from those messages, Sivan admitted, "I don't think we've ever met in person. We were on the same label. I feel like we have orbited each other. We follow each other on Instagram. Obviously, I'm excited to see her."
Though the two haven’t connected in person yet, fans are hopeful their online interaction could lead to a future collaboration.
Sivan was nominated for Best Pop Dance Recording for his song "Get Me Started," though he lost to Charli XCX’s "Von Dutch." He previously received nominations in 2024 for Best Music Video and Best Pop Dance Recording for his hit "Rush."
Doechii, meanwhile, had a standout night being the third woman to take home the Grammy award for Best Rap Album for Alligator Bites Never Heal.
While on the red carpet, Sivan also reflected on his recent Sweat Tour with Charli XCX, calling it "the best time of my life."
"Working with Charli feels like the most magical time in my life," he shared. "I'm very, very proud of what we did, what we achieved creatively. I'm very happy that I got to do it with one of my best friends."
Sivan also praised Charli's rise to stardom, saying it was rewarding to "watch the world fall in love with her as much as I am."
