The world was introduced to Uncle Roger after the viral British show host’s egg fried rice video in July, and now he’s back in Malaysia!
The Uncle Roger persona was created by UK-based Malaysian comedian Nigel Ng and he recently announced that he’s back in Malaysia “just in time for lockdown” on his Instagram story!
According to his recently released podcast, he mentioned that he was coming back to Malaysia to visit his parents and also jokingly said that he’s a “lockdown refugee”.
The comedian came back just in time for the second Movement Control Order announcement from 13 to 26 January, so at least he’ll have plenty of time to spend with his family.
Nigel said that the Malaysian High Commission in London gave him clearance via a travel permission slip to return to Malaysia.
He previously went viral after reacting to a BBC cooking host’s egg fried rice recipe and has since garnered millions of subscribers on his YouTube channel.
Fans were also shocked when he posted photos showing off his six-pack late last year, prompting many to start calling him “Daddy Roger”.
Looks like you might bump into him if you’re lucky, but make sure to maintain social distancing if you do and just say “Haiyaa” from a safe distance!
What would you say to Uncle Roger if you happened to bump into him? Let us know!
