Nobody likes blackheads. We don’t like them on our noses, on our chins, and we definitely won’t like them in our ears.
Wait, what? We can get blackheads in our ears?
It turns out that the outer part of our ears has the same sebum-producing glands on our noses and chins. These glands are capable of secreting A LOT of oil, which can cause blackheads.
There are also a couple of habits that can increase the probability of blackheads forming inside your ears – like not washing your ears, or wearing your headphones for too long and not cleaning them. Just watch this:
Fortunately, it’s really easy to add good ear hygiene to your daily routine. All you gotta do is clean the outer area of your ear with cotton q-tips—only the outer area; they are not meant for cleaning the inside of your ear—and wash your ears with soap while you’re in the shower.
