We love fried chicken and we know you do too and this fried chicken looks super delicious but unfortunately, it’s not edible and you’ll probably break your teeth if you took a bite!

Recently in Indiana, US, a woman discovered a rare crystal that looks exactly like fried chicken!

Amelia Rude from Bloomington recently posted a picture of her rare find and it immediately caught everyone’s attention.

The 20-year-old who runs a gemstone jewellery business didn’t expect her discovery to go viral after she posted it on Reddit.

“I knew it played a pretty convincing fired chicken, so I expected it might get a thousand upvotes or so, but I was surprised when it took off the way that it did,” she told UNILAD.

But what exactly is this “chicken tender” crystal?

“It’s a calcium carbonate cluster!” Amelia said. “There are two varieties: calcite and aragonite. A simple vinegar or HCl test would determine which one it is, but I’m hesitant to erode its natural crispy beauty.”

According to Amelia, crystals that look like food is actually pretty common.

Lots of crystals look surprisingly edible, but I can’t say I’ve ever seen such a convincing chicken tender before. Slices of rhodochrosite can look like like both ham and grapefruit, and dark pink rose quartz plays a good raw meat,” she explained.

This definitely is a delicious find! But we wouldn’t bite into it…

Have you found any objects that are food-shaped before? Let us know!
