Spiders are the worst. The eight legs, the eight eyes, the creepy-crawly sensation you feel running up your spine when you spot one, we’re getting goosebumps just thinking of one.
Now we know, some of you love spiders, but if you don’t, we recommend that you proceed with cause.

Recently, a woman from New South Wales, Australia, had the shock of a lifetime when she discovered a massive spider hiding the door handle of her car!
Luckily for Christine Jones, she made the discovery right before she opened the car door.
Christine shared her terrifying experience on the Australian Spider Identifaction Facebook page saying:
“Thought it was hairy caterpillars at first. Haven’t used my car for a week.”

The huge spider sits quietly nestled in the groove and shade of the door handle, and if Christine had not noticed it, she would have had a first-hand encounter with the arachnid.
The incident has scarred Christine so much that she didn’t drive her car for a week! We’d be the same, tbh.

Most of the comments in the post agreed that the spider was most likely from the Huntsman family, of which there are more than 155 different species in Australia.
Huntsman spiders are large and long-legged spiders that are usually grey and brown in colour. They however are not considered to be dangerous.
Luckily for Christine, while the arachnids does possess venom and a bite could cause illness, the species of spiders are generally reluctant to bite and are more likely to run away.
Australia Museum shared that the huntsman spiders are commonly found living under loose bark on trees and crevices in rocks, but they do sometimes make their way into cars.

We’d probably be screaming our heads off if we were ever in Christine’s position.
What would you do? Do you love or hate spiders? Let us know!
