The ongoing pandemic has clearly left the world exhausted. However, for some creative people, the lockdown has unleashed their creativity.

The video of the COVID virus-shaped vada has been shared by Twitter user @mimpful and has gained many mixed reactions.
In the video, the woman is seen making vadas with rice flour, warm water, cumin seeds and salt. She then starts to make a potato stuffing mixed with some onion, curry leaves, coriander, capsicum and spices. She soon starts shaping them into balls and coating them with rice flour while covering the balls with soaked rice to make it look like the COVID-19 virus. She then steams the dough for 15-20 minutes and the vadas end up looking very much like the virus.
Netizens were surprised to see the new Coronavirus-shaped vadas and took to the comments section to react to the clip. Some of them expressed that the food looked quite delicious and some were well… not very thrilled by the look of the odd-looking snack. Ngl...it does look a bit disturbing but we’d still give it a try…
Fyi, vada is a south Indian food and is a type of fritter or doughnut made of ground lentils or beans, called dal, and spices. Usually, the dish is cooked deep-fried and eaten as a snack but can also be eaten for breakfast, tea or more. It’s a very popular dish in many areas of India.
This weird food trend is not at all new tho. Since the Covid pandemic hit the world, many such creative people found their way to social media to work on their art and bring forward some unique dishes...and ngl we love to see it.
Although it’s a little odd…we can’t help but imagine how satisfying it is to eat the Coronavirus-shaped vadas...considering our mostly hate relationship with the virus, lol.
What do you think of this weird but interesting food recipe? Would you try it? Let us know in the comments!
