With Raya just around the corner, most of us are already dreading the traffic on our journey to balik kampung. But now, there’s a new way to travel in style and beat all the unending jams.
A helicopter.
Yup, you read that right.
According to Sinar Harian, a new helicopter hire service has been made available for those who wish to travel back to their kampung in style.
Over 20 helicopters have been made available for this festive season and it’ll only set you back RM30,000!
The helicopter and private jet hire service was first introduced three years ago by the Hazmi Dimasyq Group and was usually only used by businessmen.
“This is the first year we decided to offer the service in conjunction with Hari Raya,” said group owner, Hazmi Hanipa.

“So far, we have 11 requests for the Kuala Lumpur-Kota Baru route, which has the highest demand,” he continued.
If you’re wondering how much a ride would cost exactly, Hazmi noted that the flights would begin on 3rd June and a one-way flight to Kelantan will cost about RM30,000.
For a six-passenger flight , it would cost RM17,000 per hour! And a journey by helicopter from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Baru will take around three hours.
“Looking at the requests, we will continue this service for the next festive seasons,” Hazmi added.
Why drive when you can fly right? That’s of course if you have RM30,000 just lying around… For those of us who don’t have that kind of cash to spare, we’ll stick to driving or using public transports.
